Arriving by Air

From 14th October 2017, you will be able to fly to St Helena from Johannesburg or Capetown via a stopover at Windhoek in Namibia to St Helena. Online ticket sales is now on sale via the SA Airlink website. St Helena tickets sales can also be processed via Solomons shipping and travel agency office at the Malabar in Jamestown.

Arriving by Ship

Getting to St Helena by sea is easy. You could board the last commercially operating Royal Mail ship. Cruising to St Helena dates back to Union-Castle days. Our cruise ship season starts from October and ends in April. There is no breakwater in James Bay, all visiting cruise ships drop anchor in the bay and passengers are tendered ashore.

Arriving by Yacht

We welcome visiting yachts. more and more yachts seek safe havens in new and unspoiled destinations. St Helena is conveniently positioned for all passing sea traffic. Yachts can be hoisted for repairs. On arrival, immigration personnel will provide information and everything you need to know is available at the tourist located tourist office in Jamestown.

Marine Tours

When visiting St Helena a Whale shark or dolphin trip is a must, Whale sharks are seen from November to April, most marine tour operators offer the opportunity to swim with the Whale Sharks. on any of these trip, there is always plenty to see.

Where to Eat

A variety of restaurants and pubs can be found on the island. The atmosphere is generally informal and children are welcome.  Jamestown has a range of restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, and takeaways. Other eateries can be found in country areas.
