Events not to be missed on St Helena in 2018
There’s always something happening on St Helena, whatever time of year you choose to visit. Here are some of the upcoming events for 2018.
Marine Awareness Week, 12 – 18 March and Marine Festival, 18 March 2018
St Helena will once again embrace all things oceanic for Marine Awareness Week. St Helena’s marine life is one of the island’s most important and popular tourist attractions with clear blue waters, fascinating wrecks to dive and nearly 750 marine species.

Festival of Walking, 7 – 29 April 2018
The popular Festival of Walking is back, this time stretching throughout the month to accommodate weekend walks for all. Celebrating St Helena’s incredible walking and hiking experiences, walks include a trip to the highest peak and a challenging trip around the coastline to the popular Lot’s Wife’s Ponds. The ‘Coast to Coast’ phenomenon returns this year with walkers trekking from Sandy Bay Beach to Jamestown.
St Helena’s Choice – 7 Wonders of St Helena Anniversary, 18 May 2018
It has been 10 years since the launch of the ‘7 Wonders of St Helena’:

To mark the tenth anniversary, St Helena Tourism will be holding St Helena’s Choice, an opportunity for locals to submit their nominations for the new list of 7 wonders.
Festival of Running, 4 – 10 November 2018
Another year, another chance to break the records! The Festival of Running will be taking place across St Helena in November for the eighth time. The event will see the return of full and half marathons, 10km and 3km fun runs, Trail Run, Jacob’s Ladder Challenge and Triathlon around St Helena.
Governor’s Cup Yacht Race, December 2018 – January 2019
It has been four years and we are pleased to announce that the Governor’s Cup Yacht Race is back! More information coming soon.
Other events this year include a Stargazing Experience (20 April), Arts and Crafts Week (July), Historical Homes (August), World Tourism Day (27 September), Scott Kelby’s Worldwide Photowalk (October).
