COVID requirements lifted.

We are open!

St Helena’s COVID-19 entry restrictions have been lifted.

Weekly flights resume from 8 October 2022.

Vaccination

Entry to St Helena is not affected by vaccination status.

Public spaces

Masks are not required in public spaces, except within COVID-free Zones such as the General Hospital. Mask-wearing may also be required by individual businesses, taxis etc.

Quarantine

No quarantine is required upon entry.

Isolation may be advised on-island, if symptomatic and/or needing medical attention.

Testing

No COVID testing is required for entry.

*While testing is available within the hospital triage process, those wishing to otherwise monitor their COVID status are advised to bring tests with them. Testing may be requested in certain cases, for instance if needing medical attention.

Community-friendly travel

St Helena’s small community as of end-July 2022 was one of few places on Earth to have remained COVID-free throughout the entire pandemic.

Therefore, although the rest of the world has had time to adapt to living with COVID, St Helena has not. Prior to August we had never had to wear masks, never practiced social distancing and never truly been exposed to the virus.

Therefore, you’re welcome to wear masks during your visit, and to be double-vaccinated – helping to ‘flatten the curve’ as we reopen.
