Bertrand’s Cottage
Bertrand’s Cottage is located in the Longwood district next to Napoleon’s Longwood House. Fantastic views of the Island out to the sea. There is a supermarket and fuel station within a two minute walk of the property. Gateway to many of the Island’s Post Box walks. Within ten minute drive of the airport and 15 minutes’ drive to the capital Jamestown.
In 1816 loyal Napoleon supporter General Henri Bertrand and his family built a residence just across the road from Napoleon’s Longwood House. Long after Napoleon’s death and the Bertrand’s family's departure back to France the Bertrand’s Cottage is now a cafe and Bed & Breakfast run by a local Saint family. The three large Queen or twin Rooms are all en-suite. Guests have access to a guest lounge and a breakfast room.
